| “Generative†is one of new teaching ideas proposed in course of the reformation of currentcourses. Generative teaching is an important element of classroom teaching, which is for teachersto adjust the teaching activities and processes in the concrete classroom context to the teachingmaterials and the students’ cognitive performances. The thesis aims to propose the revised concept,principle and features of the Generative Teaching of Chemistry based on the statistics and analysisof the questionnaires covering71chemistry teachers in the senior middle schools. Then the resultsof the questionnaire expose the following problems:(1) Teachers pay little attention to thegenerative teaching in classroom;(2) Young teachers tend to be ready to practice the generativeway in classroom, they are inexperience;(3) There is lack of the theoretical and practical guidanceto implement the Generative Teaching of Chemistry;(4) The direct cause of the problems abovelies in the old evaluation system of teachers’ performance.Through the qualitative and quantitative analyses, the thesis further proceeds to give the fivestrategies to solve the problems mentioned:(1) Transform the way of teaching thinking to sparklethe teachers’ passion;(2) Stimulate the students’ interests by creating the available teaching contextto prepare for the generative learning;(3) Design the efficient questions by observing the students’cognition to promote the generative learning;(4) Encourage the students’ sense of achievements bycatching the key moments to explore the generative learning;(5) Focus on the teachers andstudents’ emotions to cherish the generative teaching.The thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter One is an introduction, mainly describing thepurpose, significance and content of the thesis, and the applied methodology. Chapter Two isliterature review, which summarizes the current achievements abroad and at home in the field ofthe Generative Teaching, defines the Generative Teaching of Chemistry in classroom, analyzes therelationship between the Generative Teaching and the Pre-design Teaching. Chapter Threeproposes the revised concept, principle and features of the Generative Teaching of Chemistry onthe basis of the subject of chemistry. Chapter Four is the practical investigation on the Generative Teaching of Chemistry, including Chemistry teachers’ estimation for the Generative Teaching, theimplement situations and its difficulties in the process of Chemistry teaching, and deeply analyzethe relative results. Chapter Five brings up the Generative Teaching strategies, and applies someteaching examples to prove its effectiveness. |
