The Research On The Nature-grateful Education For College Students And The Improvement Strategis

Gratefulness is one insight emotion for human-beings, and the origination of our morality. To cultivate the university students’gratefulness for the nature is the essential part of the establishment of ecology. Former researchers focused on the discussion of the importance of this issue, while missed the related empirical approaches. Therefore, this study employed quantitative method to analyze how the students feel grateful for the nature and their expectation on the current education.1450universities students were invited to complete the original designed questionnaire, University Students’Gratefulness for Nature, including both self-report and other-report version and the projective test of anthropocentrism. The data revealed that despite that the gratefulness education had been carried out in many ways, the students did not pay too much attention; students’gratefulness for nature was not integrate among the level of cognation, emotion and practical behavior; the gratefulness differed with their grades; the communist members of the studiers were better than others; self-report’s score was higher than other-report; the student joined in the nature related clubs showed more respect for nature. According to the above result, the study propose several advice that the universities should adjust the contents of the gratefulness education for nature with the expectation of their students; most of the education resource should be arranged for the sophomore; the information of the related propagandas should balance the cognation proneness of the students; related activities should be small, but lasting and frequent; set the communist students as the forerunner for others; prepare material award to stimulate students’motivation; the evaluation system should be based on objective report; use the nature words to cast the action in the related literature materials.
