As a common psychological phenomenon,“synaesthesia”is no superfunction, butinterconnection among sight, hearing, touch and other body senses. Infants’emotional reactionsto music vary according to their life experiences, therefore music could naturally and freelyintroduce them into a new realm by helping revealing their nature, establishing their music feelas well as generating different“synaesthesia”experiences.This paper intends for the combination of“synaesthesia”and preschool music education,and popularization of the educational value in the application of“synaesthesia”in preschoolmusic education among preschool teachers. It also attempts to explore application strategies onthe basis of existing research.The first part introduces the concept of“synaesthesia”and the principles of its formation,and further explores the theoretical foundation of the application of“synaesthesia”in preschoolmusic education.the second part focuses on the value of the application, after a careful examination of theembodiment of“synaesthesia”in the practice of preschool music education, which throws lighton the function of the application from a theoretical view, it manages to seek for the significantrole“synaesthesia”plays in infant perception, comprehension and expression of music.The last part deals with the practice of the application, the subject of application strategiesis primarily proposed, to provide assistance for preschool teacher ,measures are correspondinglydiscussed on an operating level, including enriching“synaesthesia”experiences as well asnurturing the capacity of“synaesthesia”in preschool music education; relevant problemsconcerning the application of“synaesthesia”are also mentioned.
