The preschool education is the beginning of a lifelong education, thecornerstone of the quality-oriented education, and the foundation of the basiceducation. As one of the five realms of kindergarten courses, art activities, as amedium, help children to feel beauty, find beauty, and express beauty by artisticworks with a lively form.The purpose of children’s moral education in our country requires us to fosterthe children’s emotion of love hometown, love motherland, love collective, and lovelabor. Meanwhile, during the process of cultivating these emotions, we could makeuse of the kindergarten music activities to convey the core value of the emotions tothe children. However, it is worth to introspect that the kindergartens in Kunming,Yunnan had not investigated and understood thoroughly the local current situation andthe characteristics of children in this region when they blindly introduced educationsystem from various countries.When our kindergarten teachers complaining that there is no way to teach artcourses, and understanding the art education as a pure skill training of children, theyoften misinterpreted the core value of preschool art education, and ignored theexcellent and valuable local art resources. Yunnan, as a multiethnic province, is rich inexcellent music and dance resources from the Han nationality and other minorities.By utilizing these recourses in the kindergarten music activities, on the one hand, it isa good way to germinate the children’s love of home, and enhance their understandingof the hometown. One the other hand, the core essence of the local music and danceresources, which is natural and original, can influence children deeply, and cultivatetheir self-confidence. What’s more, it also plays a significant role in children’s socialdevelopment.
