Tujia folk play was formed in survival, continuity and development of the historical process in the Tujia region, with the unique content and form which to adapt to actual production and living of the region.The Folk Play spread widely in the Tujia children and can inherit the outstanding national culture, promote their physical and mental health. Tujia Folk Play is a part of Tujia excellent ethnic culture, with the features of competitive, performance fitness, groups, and others. In the process of playing, on the one hand, children can experience the excellent Tujia traditional culture, learn the Tujia people’s knowledge and skills in daily life and work, that also cultivate their sense of national identity easily. On the other hand, the process helps to the children’s physical development, and promote their development of intellectual, social and other aspects. It is necessary and feasible to launch the Tujia Folk Play in educational activities of kindergarten.This study uses the method of a combination of action research and case study, also collect,analyze and organize data by methods of literature, interview and observation. It discusses features and value of Tujia Folk Games in the theory, in practice, design and implementation of Tujia folk games, activities and program related activities for kindergarten organizations provide a reference. The study include the following:Firstly, describe the reasons and literature review of this research, including the background, content, method and so on.Secondly, based on the pedagogy, culture and psychology, analyze the characteristics, educational value, the inner link between children and educational activities in kindergarten; provide the theoretical support in the application to educational activities. Thirdly, from theory to practice, understand the feasibility and operability about folk game in the educational activities according to interviews with teachers; make a further discussion on how to carry out the folk games in the kindergarten.Fourthly, propose some suggestions based on the research results.Lastly, summary of research conclusion, reflect on the lack of research and draw relevant thinking.
