Research On The Grass-roots Democracy Construction In New Rural Community

With the development of the new rural construction,a unified planning andmanagement of new rural communities has been established in many provinces and regions.In the process of transition to the new community,there has been a great change in thepersonnel structure, local culture, ethnic customs, etc. Rural grass-roots democracy isessential in the process of new rural community construction. Development of new ruralcommunity democratic construction at the grass-roots level not only took great value to thedevelopment of rural economic and social,but also is the urgent desire of the masses,What’s more,it is also a necessary factor to promote the development of rural sociality.This research paper is based on Xinxiang, which is in Henan province.Through the comparison between three different types of rural communities--the ruralcommunity which has been well developed,the one which has been developing and the onewhich is just developed,it tries to analyse the progress of and the rural grass-rootsdemocracy and the problems in the construction of new rural communities of Xinxiang andgive some feasible suggestions which has once successfully promoted the newconstruction of rural communities.This Paper is divided into the following five sections:Chapter I: Introduction section presents the purpose of this study,the extent to whichthe foreign scholars have studied on the related problems,the latest research situation andthe supporting theory resource. On the basis of scholars ’ studies,it shows its own particularopinions.Chapter II: It makes a definition of the relevant concepts, such as community,community building, grassroots democracy, etc.the construction of grassroots democracythis text refers to is mainly realized form the angle of Villager autonomyChapter III: The preparation before case studies. Such as the selection of therespondents and the sampling methods analysis.Chapter IV: Survey results and analysis phase. Though a type of longitudinal surveyon the case research results, the paper presents the problems in the process of grass-rootsdemocracy construction mainly from the democratic election,democratic decision-making,democratic supervision and democratic management.Chapter V: measures proposed stage. In the light of the problems the fourth chapter hasreferred, and combined with academic research, practical policy proposals have been putforward.
