With the rapid development of market-directed economy, the higher education in our country is heading for a becoming period. Private colleges, as an essential part of our higher education system, are getting more and more attention about their existence and development. But owing to various reasons such as short history, lack of social recognition, students being unpopular on the job market, etc. private colleges are now at a big disadvantage competing with the state-owned ones, the whole society is concerned about how to help them grow strong and successful.Whether a school can stand out in the peer competition, rely mainly on the strength of teachers. It is applicable for the teacher of the public school and is also applicable for the teacher of the private universities. The survival and development of private universities rely on the good teachers’team, good teachers can promote the rapid development of private universities, and teachers’construction is the foundation of the survival of the private colleges.Undoubtedly, faculty construction is crucial, but there are many flaws existing in the incentive system, which greatly affect and prevent teachers from using their initiatives, which is also the deadly factor leading to teachers’being on the more around the campuses, consequently, it will have a negative effect on the stability and development of our higher education.Summary of the theory on the basis of literature, collected on China’s Private Teacher Incentive problems to study, explore the revelation of the existing Private Teacher Incentive Mechanism for us.The essay has investigated the teachers’financial and spiritual treatment in the form of questionnaire and so on, in the hope of finding out the factors which hinder teachers’ capacity being fully exploited. Based on the incentive theory offered and scientific study, through the investigation of the college W teaching status.I put forward a series of methods and measures which should be adopted in the reformation and development of private colleges.
