Since Advance organizer theory was founded by Ausubel, it has been widely used as a teaching strategy in the teaching of various disciplines. The research in this area can be described as voluminous, especially in the teaching of science and engineering. In fact, advance organizer strategy applies to learning about all the words information, especially English teaching which used lecturing teaching primarily in. Due to the impact of traditional teaching methods, the majority of English teachers only concerned about the students’acquisition and master of English language knowledge in the actual reading teaching. However, in that case, they would ignore the development of the students’ reading comprehension, which can result in students’low reading level and affect the quality of English teaching. While advance organizer, as an introductory material with more abstractness and generality, can erect a bridge between students’known and unknown knowledge which help students assimilate new knowledge and understand the article meaning easily. This study attempts to use advance organizer strategy in the English reading teaching of junior high school. The study adopts literature analysis and case analysis. It is divided into six parts.The first part is an introduction. In this part, the author clarified the cause of the problem, sorted domestic and international application study of the advance organizer theory, and pointed out the theoretical and practical significance of this study.The second part is an overview of the advance organizer theory. Firstly, the author described the theoretical basis of "advance organizers"; Then,the author made a detailed, in-depth conceptual analysis of "advance organizers"; Finally, the author sorted the contemporary development about "advance organizers".The third part. Firstly the author pointed out the problems in the English reading teaching of junior high school. Then based on these problems, the author analyzed the feasibility about advance organizer strategy used in the English reading teaching in junior high school. And the author also pointed out the limitations of the advance organizer strategy used in English reading teaching in junior high school.The fourth part is the key part of the article. With PEP English textbooks of the third grade of junior high school for example, combining with the specific reading chapter, the author proposed specific implementation steps, principles and methods on how to use the advance organizer strategy in English reading teaching of junior high school.The fifth part.the author discussed the practice enlightenment of the use of advance organizer strategy in English reading teaching of junior high school.The sixth part is a conclusion.the author drawn the conclusion of the study and reflected the inadequacies of the study.
