With the development and popularity, the internet greatly broadens the perspective and knowledge of contemporary college students, enhances student awareness and consciousness of equality, extends the students interpersonal space and provides many facilities of life and learning for students. At the same time, the violence, pornography, superstition and other harmful information in the internet seriously endanger the physical and mental health of college students. The western life and values of slack greatly impact the ideas of contemporary college students, which makes the life and values of some students lost and skewed. Therefore, the network is a "double-edged sword" for the ideology and politics education.It takes good opportunities and development for the ideology and politics education, but also makes the environment of the ideology and politics education more complex and defiant. Thus, how to strengthen the ideology and politics education in the network era will be the important and difficult problem.This paper includes five chapters. The first chapter is introduction, which illustrates the topics of background, the purpose of theoretical study and practical significance, domestic and oversea research trend and analysis and evaluation.The second chapter analyses the positive and negative effects of networks on the college students. It indicates that the network not only brings the new ideas and opportunities to the ideology and politics education, but also takes serious challenges. The systemic and in-depth analysis of the characteristics of the network and network development in colleges and universities are carried out. The main features of the contemporary ideological are summarized. The status and problems of ideology and politics education in network are given the comprehensive exposition.The third chapter illuminates the inherent characteristics of ideology and politics education of the network era in detail and proposes the principle of ideology and politics education.The fourth chapter put forward the feasible measures of strengthening and improving ideology and politics education on base of the previous researches. The last chapter is the conclusion, summarizing the results of this research as well as shortcomings.The author has referred to a lot of relevant literatures and analyzed carefully. And a variety of questionnaires and individual interviews for college students have been carried out. On this basis, the impact of the network on the contemporary college students is carefully analyzed. The constructive and time-specific tactics for the ideology and politics education of college students have been put forward according to the opportunities and challenges made by the network.
