Object:Cardiorespiratory fitness is crucial to the elders’health. The research investigated the elders’cardiorespiratory fitness, discussed the feasibility of evaluating the elders’cardiorespiratory fitness by the means of6minutes walk, then established the model to speculate the elders’maximal cardiorespiratory fitness. The research will provide theoretical and methodology basis for the elders’exercise and training. Methods:The research recruited40-65year-old elders in the community voluntarily, after survey of medical history, health questionnaire, PAR-Q, and medical examination,82health subjects were selected. They were randomly divided into76persons as the modeling group and6persons as the retrospective test group. All subjects signed the information consent. After morphological measurement, maximal stress test was carried out, starting load was25W,50rpm, and rise25W every2minutes, peak V02max and anaerobic threshold were monitored. After recovery for1week,6minutes walk was conducted, walking distance, work, peak V02max were measured. Gas metabolism and peak V02max was monitored by Cortex MetaMax3B during stress test and6minutes walk. In the stress test, ambulatory blood pressure,12-ECG were monitored simultaneously. Peak V02max, walking distance were compared during the2tests, the correlations of6minutes walking distance and morphological indices, peak V02max in6minutes walk and distance, morphological indices, peak V02max in6minutes walk and walking distance, working were analyzed. Results:In both tests, peak V02max have significant gender differences, as man is higher than woman.40-49year-older person walks longer than60year-old person and above, while peak V02max has no significant differences.6minutes walking distance has low correlation with height, age, and weight, Peak V02max in6minutes walk has linear correlation with distance, BMI, and work. Peak V02max of stress test and6minutes walk have significant differences, but correlated. Peak V02max in stress test has linear correlation with work, gender and WHR in6minutes walk. Conclusion:6minutes walk is sub-maximal load that could reflect maximal cardiorespiratory fitness.
