Guangxi Xing-an Huajiang Yao Town Intangible Cultural Protection And Inheritance

In recent years, especially the CPC put forward of plenary meeting "to promotesocialist cultural big development, great prosperity " guiding thought later, inheritanceand the protection of traditional culture consciousness increasingly thorough popularfeeling.Different level governments and the relevant unit staff made out measures torescue and protect ethnic folk cultures, including the nonmaterial culture, and haveachieved some results. But with the development of social economy and influencedby the external cultures, the intangible cultural habitat is in constantly deterioration.Particularly in minority areas or small communities, the change and disappear is inspeed.In this context, this paper take Huajiang Yao town (in Xing’an county, Guangxi)as the entry point, based on intangible cultural heritage and protection research, takingthe folklore theory as guidance, with some related theory and fieldwork, investigatedthe local existing intangible culture, described the lacal faith, dialect, legends, custom,folk dance, Yao embroidery, Yao medicine, based on interviews. By the comparisonof the time longitudinal, this paper guided to understand the formation, developmentprocess and the present situation, and detailed analysis of the local Yao’s intangiblecultural characteristic, value and significance. Based on that, this paper put forwardedthe protection problems and difficulties for the local Yao’s intangible culture. Takingcurrent Chinese intangible cultural rescue and protect work experience as references,this paper further defined the cultural protection principles that should be persistentedin the work. Combined with the already been taken local measures in inheritance andprotection, this paper looking forward the sustainable development from differentangles&aspects, trying to take the long-term effective inheritance&protectingmeasures, mean to give full play of social benefit, economic benefit and culturalbenefits of the intangible culture.The features and value of Huajiang Yao’s intangible cultural will help us furtherunderstand the importance to save and protect the ethnical culture. How to inherit andprotect the intangible cultural is a difficult work, that need people from all circles toactively participate. Government department, experts, scholars, property developersand any common people should actively explore feasibility ways in the protection andinherit of the intangible cultur.
