Nowadays, in current vocational schools, teachers are always the center of Englishreading teaching. Students learn English in a passive state, and the teaching effect is notperfect. The author tries to improve an efficiency mode for the English reading classroomof secondary vocational-technical schools.“Two, Three, Two task-based” readingteaching is a new mode where the students are as the center. Students can improve theirreading competence through the task, and enhance the reading skills. It not onlyemphasizes the students’ autonomous reading competence and overall quality, but alsoreflects the superiority to traditional reading teaching mode.This paper attempts to study and compare with the traditional English readingteaching mode according to empirical research. From the results, we can see secondaryvocational-technical schools “232task-based” English reading teaching mode is effective.In view of the current vocational schools English reading teaching classes have lowefficiency, the main questions to solve in the paper experiment:1) If the “Two, Three, Two task-based” reading teaching mode in reading class couldimprove the level of the students’ reading?2) If the “Two, Three, Two task-based” reading teaching mode in reading class couldarise the interest for English reading, and cultivate kinds of competence for reading?3) If the “Two, Three, Two task-based” reading teaching mode is better than theTraditional Teaching mode?Experimental research was held in Jinzhou NO.1Vocational-Technical Middle School.There are two classes in the experiment, Class One is Experiment Class, and Class Two isControl Class, which want to see the difference between the these two classes after pre-testand post test. The results of the examination will be analyzed by SPSS software.There are six parts in the thesis:Chapter one is the introduction of the paper mainly about the background and thepurpose and significance of research.Chapter two is literature review about the thesis which reveals lots of Task-basedTeaching materials. This chapter introduces the development of the reading.Chapter three points out some experiment methods I use in the paper and the realcondition of the experiment class (EC) and control class (CC).Chapter four is an experimental study of “Two, Three, Two task-based" Englishteaching mode.Chapter five is analysis and discussion of “Two, Three, Two task-based” English teaching mode.And the last chapter (Chapter six) is the conclusions and suggestions of the wholepaper.
