How to associate the educational theory with educational practice is an important problem need to be solved. Considering the distinction of educational theory and educational practice mainly own to educational researchers and educational practitioners. This paper is engaged in analyzing six educational articles of three well-known secondary school principals and three university professors by the method of Critical Discourse Analysis, which is aimed at working out the difference of thinking habit between educational practitioners and educational researchers.This thesis is divided into four parts:The preface is about the main research methods combing the study history of this topic.The first part about educational articles’Social-Historical Analysis is made up of4sectors,such as educational articles’"Spatio-temporal settings","Fields of interaction","Social institutions". In short, it is the background analysis of6educational articles.The second part is the specific discourse analysis about6educational articles. It is found that:1) Secondary school principals are deeply involved in the educational reality;2) Secondary school principals tend to cognize the educational issue based on some kind of common sense;3) Secondary school principals always work out the problem-solving modes;4) In their planning process, the secondary school principals tend to distinguish the objects into different groups and take every group’s various characteristics into account. However,1) The intervention of higher education researchers in educational reality is often a light degree of intervention;2) Higher education researchers tend to turn the educational reality into certain educational nature;3) Higher education researchers tend to deduce education law according to certain scientific;4) Higher education researchers always seem people’s idealistic attributes as the planning objects.The third part is the further explanation of chapters I and chapters II. Secondary school principals emphasize on planning rather than cognition; they regard certain specific needs as a starting point; they also take a variety of materials, the favorable attributes as well as the negative attributes of the material into account;Besides, they keep openness and compatibility on the heterogeneity of the materials and regard the establishment of new educational reality as their destination,which proves the thinking habit of secondary school principals is a kind of engineering thinking. Compare with the secondary school principals, the university educational researchers always focus on cognition, they regard the universal educational issue as a starting point and try to filter the heterogeneous characteristics, they pursue logical theory, and take the establishment of a new educational theory as their destination, which demonstrates the thinking habit of university educational researchers is a kind of theoretical thinking. At the end of this paper, the article discussed the relationship between educational theory researchers and education practitioners.
