The block play is one of the classic games that has been used in every kindergardens in China. And people always want to know which way to give blocks to children is the best or better. But almost teachers here can’t tell.So this study aims to fine how different give ways influnce the children’s block play behaviors. The different wags includes giving sorting or mixing blocks, giving large or small blocks, putting the blocks on table or floor. The affects of the influnce include the grade of the base structure, the use of the constructive rules, the combination of different shapes, the quantity of the used blocks, the time that one block work needs, and if the answers about the name of child’s same work are same.The conclusions are, the different way of giveing blocks has some influnces on the block play. One is that sorting materials is good for the middle class children to raise the grades, use the rules, use more blocks, combinate the shapes. The other is that small block is good for girls to raise the grades, use more blocks and time. The last is that playing on the floor is better for girls to construct higher grades works. The study suggests that the teachers should pay attention to the giving ways of blocks, sort by the colors and shapes, set up room with enough floor and tables, and choose profit block according the difference of age and gender.
