IM (impression management, impression management) is individual consciously or unconsciously control, other people to the formation of certain impression process, in this process, as the individual can be unintentional, also can be intentional, through the nonverbal behavior has to achieve the effective influence others form impressions process, from the last century50s, IM started by the social psychologists attention, and in a century after decorating, expanded to sociology, organizational behavior, management, and other subject areas. Through consulting the literatures can see, the existing about IM (impression management) of the research is basically some basic definitions analysis, about some of the dimension of impression management structure of the problem is studied is less, in other words, about IM technology research most basic limited to in general enterprises in the interview recruitment and performance evaluation, there are few this kind of research in the education field had appeared, not to mention in the sports field of research. Although the technical theory of impression management in the sports field not happened, but I think that this is a new concept can be attempting to, so I after bold ideas, combining with the technical features of IM, combine them with a reasonable structure are studied. This research is the sports college students as the object, this study adopts interview method and a questionnaire survey professional sports college students to the daily life of the management of certain research, Because IM still not in before sports management field of study, therefore, the study is a kind of exploratory research, this paper first hand over to treat the development history of IM, and of impression management to the certain review and the related concept of impression management made clear a regulation, to the content of the study on the perfect, and management of impression appears before research model are analyzed. This article in view of the college PE majors and non-professional sports college students’ daily life compared to the basic situation, and concludes that the two types of student groups in the dormitory, learning, shopping in the daily life has obvious difference, in addition, I use the tool to search SES college PE majors and the university non-professional sports impression management level, college PE majors in the impression that the management level is weak. So as a professional sports college students should through the correct understanding, to improve the level of self-esteem, to strengthen their own sports cultural quality, improve the comprehensive quality, and also in the life practices good self-discipline, will own style good show.
