Summary: Teachers are a unique professional group. Each teacher has ones own developing background, needs and means that leads to different outcomes. Teachers couldn't develop veritably without self-improvement. We know school regulations play an important role on teachers'development. What is the relationship between teacher's daily life and self-development? Based on the case study of Chengdu Experimental Primary School, from the point view of the daily life theory, the article discusses the relationship between teacher's daily life and self-development.The whole article is composed of five chapters. Chapter 1 is the exordium. First, it specifies the theme of the article, analyses the value of the study and looks back briefly the correlated studies and researches of the issue. Then, it introduces the research tools it takes, which are the daily life theory and the case study of teachers of Chengdu Experimental Primary School. Finally, it defines some concepts and sets the structure of the article. In Chapter 2, a survey about teacher's daily life and non-daily life of Chengdu Experimental Primary School shows the expansion of teacher's non-daily life space and shrink of their daily life space, the conflicts between teacher's daily thinking and non-daily thinking. Chapter 3 finds some problems blocking teacher development nowadays through the analysis of the teacher self-development survey of the sample school. In Chapter5, we use the daily life theory to analysis the problems blocking teacher development, and we find out the close correlation between teacher's daily life and self-development. Chapter 5 provides some suggestions for teacher development based on the impact teacher's daily life had for their self-development.Teacher's daily life is the daily, non-systematical, informal and family and friends centered activities that correlate to teacher's private life, which are opposite to teacher's professional life activities. It close to teacher self-development. Teacher's daily life provides broad knowledge background and significance support for teacher self-development. The life experience and daily thinking of teacher affects the motivation and means of teacher self-development. Teacher's daily life and non-daily life are a reciprocity that could adjust the process of teacher self-development. The impact of teacher's daily life had for teacher self-development depends on the reciprocity of Teacher's daily life and non-daily life. The more the tow lives correspond, communicate and translate, the better the reciprocity is. The less they do, the worse the reciprocity is. Therefore, the school should reform the teacher management means to enhance the reciprocity of teacher's daily life and non-daily life, so to promote teacher self-development.
