Culture is not unchangeable. Under the impacts of politics, economy and social reform, it is also to learn from and integrate with the excellent ingredients of other cultures. Language is the carrier and main expression form of culture. As a linguistic subject, English is inseparable with culture. What lurks behind English is the whole English culture. Each culture contains its own unique nature and mainstream value, and being gestated in English culture,"individualism" becomes the essence of English cultural values. Stressing freedom, democracy, equality and realization of personal value, the values of "individualism" is comple-mentary to "collectivism" which is emphasized in China’s traditional culture. Therefore, these English cultural values are valuable resources that we need to learn, and the English education is one of the most important methods to spread English culture.English teaching is not only focusing on language learning,but also culture conveying and spirit spreading simultaneously.On the basis of undstand and grasp the features and the value orientation of English culture, teachers should follow the principle of camparation,experience and developing to explore even make full ues of the rich resources in it, improve students’ humanistic accomplishment,meanwhile should let the students absorb the spirit of respect,courage and care people, then internalize them in the heart of line and promote innovative thinking form in the course of time.The main purpose of this study is that manifesting the cultural enssence in English in the way that excavating the humanity facts which are healthy and positive;helping student to build a wholesome outlook towards the world and life by giving classes,providing environment and stimulating the intersting of students; and influncing the students through humanity accomplished teachers.The first chapter of this paper introduced the question that is to be studied, explained the related concepts,and illustrated the situation of the study together with the methods and the meanings of the research on this subject in our country. Chapter two is the induction of the cultural features and value resorces in English,which is analysised in three points such as respecing others,ecouraging people and showing care. By analysising the curriulum standards, text books and some other reading materials, Chapter three presented the value orientation and value resorces in junior high English curricula. Chapter four mainly talked the three principles which help achieve the cutural values in junior high English education. The princples are:comparison,experience and development.The last chapter is the conclusion.
