As the development of society and change of traditional idea,more and more women began to take charge of management workand they played an important role in the university’s healthy and stabledevelopment. But the reality and home and abroad scholars’ researchall indicate that though the number of university’s women managershas increased, there is a gap between women managers’ status andmen managers’ status. Besides, their management style is also quitedifferent. As far as I am concerned, the reason why there are so manydifferences between them is not only because of physiology, but alsothe more complicated social reason.This research will take six female university’s managers as theresearch object and Fiedler contingency model as the theory model.Literature analysis and interview will be used as the research methods toanalyze management style of university women managers, which willfrom decision、lead and communication these perspectives. I just hopeit can help people have a better understanding of female managers’gender advantage and management style and so female can have abetter development in the university.The research shows that University women managers are confidentand affin and they are good at communicating and understandingothers. Their management is full of gentle and spring, but they lack ofresolution and tend to deal things with private emotion. When theymake decisions, they are cautious and democratic, they would like totake staff’s opinions and their working abilities into account. When theylead work, they through paying attention to staff’s idea and helpingthem work out problems to make the work target come true. When theycommunicate with staffs, they are always willing to care staff’s workand life situation, which can shorten the distance between staff and manager. But women managers’ tolerant and gentle also make themlack of reason, and they are short of decisive ability when they confrontwith complicated Interpersonal relationship or situation. Besides, heavyfamily burden let them can’t have a wide horizon.In view of these, author puts forward some proposals: improvingfemale managers’ management ability; setting up “Lifelong learning”consciousness; changing traditional social ideas. I just hope it can helpwomen’ management style goes well along with the characteristicsand need of the university, so women can contribute more wisdom andpower to the development of university. Besides, I also wish this papercan help women who are willing to be manager in the university builtconfidence and provide them with some reference.
