Chinas traditional culture is facing a huge crisis of survival, manycultural projects have been, or is dying, to accelerate the rate of loss oftraditional culture in a step by step. This is an unprecedented nationalcrisis of survival of traditional culture. This crisis is a profound social andhistorical reasons, both the process of globalization of Western culture,business culture, the steady erosion of impact and compression, butalso social transformation in China, the modern development of thecultural and ecological changes in the environment. In this paper, interviews, fieldsurvey and questionnaire survey of Shanghai residents to participate intraditional sports activities and research, the main research participants,to participate in the project, participated in the purpose and form ofmanagement way, the factors that affect the traditional sportsactivities, and the problems. The survey found that a higher degree ofaging of Shanghais traditional sports participants, retirees mostly, butmore men than women; whole, traditional sports activities in Shanghaiextent unsatisfactory, part of the project to carry out good; traditionalsports and the popularization of the role played by the relevantdepartments are small, not enough support; the management style ofthe traditional sports groups of participants to self-organized, the waythe majority of unattended self-management and exercise, accountingfor67.1%, there is the group management undisciplined enough system;less traditional sports groups, Shanghai, organizers of learningopportunities, instructor and low professional standards.
