Parent-child relationship is an important family relationship. The two sides are very different on behaviors, notions or living environment, life experience, educational background, age, mental and so on. Junior high school students are in a transition period during which Parent-child relationship transits form parents living in a dominating position to parents and children standing in a relative equal position, and in which parent-child relationship is in an unstable state. It has an important impact on junior high school students’ mental health and the way of act whether parent child relationship is harmonious or not. Thus, parent-child relationship of junior high school students receives a lot of attention form many subjects. Most predecessors study it from the perspective of psychology or pedagogy. But studying parent-child relationship of junior high school students’ form the perspective of sociology, using the methods of social work to ameliorate parent-child relation has a very important significance for junior high school students’ physical and mental health.Parent-child relationship can be studied from three perspectives:parent-child communication, parent-child conflict and personally affinity. Parent-child communication includes communication frequency, communication time, communication content, communication initiative, level of interest and so on. Parent-child conflict means that incompatibility of parents and children’s cognition, emotion, behavior, attitude causes internal and external confrontation, including the frequency of conflict, the level of conflict, the content of conflict and so on. Family affinity includes the extent of intimacy and trust, mutual evaluation and so on.This study uses the combination of quantitative and qualitative method, conducts a questionnaire survey using sampling methods, chooses one class freely from all the grades of selected school and interviews some parents. Investigate on the intimacy’s characteristics of junior high school students’ parent-child relationship. The results show: totally, junior high school students’ parent-child relationship is in a good condition; communication, parent-child conflict and affinity are good. But there exists a small part of students having bad relationship with their parents. The times of junior high school students communicating with their mothers are more than communicating with their fathers. However, the frequency and intensity of the conflict with their mothers is also slightly higher than the conflict with their fathers. Junior high school students satisfy their parents and hope to reward and honor them through their efforts.This study investigates and analyzes the influencing factors of junior high school students’parent-child relationship. It shows that children’s academic performance, whether it is the only child, communicating situation between parents and children, the trust and love level of the children for parents and parents for children are very important factors, especially the children’s academic performance, whether it is the only child, the love level of children for parents and the trust level of parents for children.Based on the above study, the author researches the way of junior high school students’family education, parent-child (female) and parents (female), grade’s influence on parent-child relationship; works out several recommendations to ameliorate the intimate situation of the junior high school students’parent-child relationship and planes a amelioration program using social work methods. |
