On Filial Piety Status And Education Countermeasure Of Contemporary College Students

According to the National Bureau of statistics announced the2010National Census VI key data, as for China, the problem of becoming an aged society is a subject that the nation is facing. One of the key to solving the problem is the inheritance and development of traditional filial piety culture of China, in order to improve the filial piety awareness and quality of citizens, and establish a social atmosphere of respecting elderly people. The filial piety has been an important moral code of ethics and code of conduct which Chinese cry up and pursue from the ancient times, particularly the concept of gradually eliminating the feudal dross and ignorance of modern filial piety and virtue. It cannot be ignored at the present time. However, it is a matter of common practice for the contemporary college student to lack this fine traditional virtue, which is frequency of unofficial parents of them found in newspapers. We are worrying about the situation of lacking of the filial piety and virtue. This is why this writing, trying to find out the strategies of filial piety education to college students, by surveying the filial piety situation of the contemporary undergraduate students. Explain the core ideas of this article and the ultimate goal is to spread the culture of filial piety, good Chinese filial piety cultural flourish.On the research methods, in the predecessors of this article on the basis of a literature review and by a questionnaire survey of college students by investigation on the present situation of filial piety and virtue. On the research ideas, first of all, it is summarized of the definition, the social and historical roots, the social status and the connotation of filial piety. At the same time, as key points, the definition of the traditional filial piety, the development of that in the history, the modern transformation of the trend and the value in contemporary society will be expounded and described. Secondly, the reason of the phenomenon of deficient filial piety is analyzed. As a valid source of the authentic data, we investigate the questionnaires from the college students from three different universities including Central South University, Hunan University and Hunan normal University. Concerning analysis of the current situation of undergraduate students, we will discuss from different angles of view which are including consciousness, emotion, behavior, content and others. We should objectively explore the reasons of the phenomenon from the historical background, the actual conditions, family education, school education, and their own personal, social environmental factors. Thirdly, by the People-oriented, comprehensive development, unity and other undesirable practices, know the concept of filial piety and morality education, and filial piety education content that is love, gratitude, life education, love of education, responsibility and education of college students of filial piety education content system. Finally, we will discuss the effective and efficient ways to find the useful education method. The piety education should be given from different dimensions, for instance, families, schools and society.
