Filial Piety Status Quo Of Contemporary College Students And Their Educational Countermeasures

The filial piety has been an important ethic and a basic principle which Chinese people cry up and pursue from the ancient times. Especially modern filial piety which has eliminated feudal dreg, still plays an important role in improving modern people's moral quality, forming harmonious human relationships, maintenance social stabilization. However, this traditional virtue has been lost in some of the college students to some extent. There appears some news in the newspaper about college students' impiety and this phenomenon has brought forward huge impact in the society. This essay tries to explore how to solve the problems about the lost of college students' filial piety through investigating modern college students' filial piety issue, in order to put forward some advices to the college students' filial piety construction.The main content of the first chapter of this essay is a general theory of filial piety. The first chapter mainly discusses the meanings of filial piety, the elementary content of filial piety, and the value of filial piety in modern times. In the part of the elementary content of filial piety, the essay has a further discussion about difference between traditional filial piety and modern filial piety. The second Chapter of this essay analyzes the situation of today's college students' filial piety. Further more, the essay uses questionnaire to investigate today's college students' filial piety and its practice experimentally. The result of the investigation is that mostly today's college students' filial piety is fine, but there are also some phenomena showing that some of the students' filial piety has been lost. The third chapter of this essay analyzes the reason why the students' filial piety has been lost in order to find the factors which induced the lost of students' filial piety, especially in the aspect of social history, social condition, family, college, the students themselves. The last chapter of this essay brings forward some countermeasures so as to solve the problem of the lost of students' filial piety , especially in the aspect of college education, family cooperation, social participation.
