Objective: Study the dietary nutrition and physical conditions of Ugur and Kazakh juniorstudents in south and north xinjiang, and explore the correlation between physical fitnessand nutrition. Methods:1.Using the24-hour dietary recall method to survey students’ dietstatus.2.Propagate the basic knowledge of nutrition and health to those students after thefirst diet survey, the form of propagate was lecture, totaly twice an interval of eight weeks,and then use24-hour dietary recall method to survey students’ daily diet condition,andcompared with the daily Dietary Reference Intakes(DRIs).3.Using the “student physicalhealth standard” which published by ministry of education and the state general admi-nistration of sports to test the students’ physical health condition,and the results were mea-sured by (M±SD).4.Using SPSS17.0to statistics data and make correlation analysis ofnuteients and physical status. Results:1.It appears a different between the nutrients intakecondition of the two national minority students and DRIs, the level of calcium, iron,selenium are almost lack, the Uygur students have more serious lack of nutrientscompared with Kazak students.2. The two national minority students’ physical conditionwere all improved (P<0.05), and the Kazak students had a better condition than the Uighurstudents before and after missionary (P<0.05).3. The level of vital capacity of Kazakstudents is higher than the national average, and it is significantly higher than the Uighurstudents (P<0.01).4.There is a significantly different between nutrients intake and physicalindecators of all the students.conclusion:1.Two national students’nutritional status is notsatisfactory, the intake of dietary nutrients were unreasonable.2.Most of the two nationalstudents’ physical status were below the national average.3.The intake of nutrient wereunreasonable,but the physical condition has improved.4.The Kazak students have a betterlevel than the Uigher students on their nutrition and physical status.5.Suggest all thestudents balance their dietary pattern,enhance the nitrients’ intake,and improve thephysical exercise.
