Understanding, it is not only a manner of considering, but also a manner of human existence. It is everywhere in our life, in other words, we lost the grasp and pursue of meanings when we lost understanding. Similarly, Teachers’curriculum understanding as a manner of considering and existence is deeply rooted in the life world of teachers. Teachers’ curriculum understanding is essential to grasp the meanings of curriculum and instruction; meaningful understanding of curriculum can promote to arouse teaching rational and professional development of teachers, in addition, Teachers’curriculum understanding is a bridge between curriculum planning and teaching achievement. Consequently, except the scientific and rational of curriculum planning itself, teachers’ curriculum understanding is the most significant factor to influence curriculum reform.Basing on interview survey, classroom observation and literature which are the main methods of research, the article is doing study on ten more teachers who are working in three more Fuzhou primary school. The content of teachers’understanding curriculum can be divided in three dimensions——understanding curriculum text, understanding curriculum noumenon and understanding curriculum implementation. The nature state of teachers understanding curriculum can be done narrative research and case study in the three dimensions. As people have varied culture context and experience, people have different viewpoints about the same thing and phenomenon, it also determine that teachers’curriculum understanding exist the character of variety, complexity and individuality. The article deeply research teachers in different schools, teaching experiences, disciplinary backgrounds and teach grade-depth by interview survey, in order to tease out a clear and straightforward context in variety and complexity. We expect to offer a specific orientation to teachers for their professional development and theoretical researchers for future research.
