Based on the top four players of women’s singles in the four tennis open tournaments during2010-2011, this research uses literature, video observation, mathematical statistics and logical analysis to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of the skills and generalize the developing skill trend of the world women tennis.一、the use of skills of the world women’s professional tennis players and spatial characteristics1) the characteristics of pat-frequency is30%in the serve and return. And it is57%in the first4,76%in the first six; and26%of the score continued to shoot6. Among the four major tennis tournaments, Wimbledon boasts the highest sending and receiving end frequency.2) the technical characteristics of the ball stage:the internal and external angle scores are got through flats in the ACES type balls. The four major tennis tournaments have large differences in the first serve, yet the second serve aims at stable spin.3) the technical features of serves:forehand and backhand are mainly used and the pace of the game is changed by the cutting, defense, pushing. serves and the returns of serves have large differences among the four major tennis tournaments.4) the hitting features of the third return:the positive and negative films of many aggression are used to hit the ball back, and the falling point is tricky and usually in the middle.5) the technical features of a stalemate:the ball hitting diversifies and the forehand and backhand are frequently used. The line of the ball is in the following order:the slash, straight, big slash and small slash. The spatial location is mainly distributed around the bottom line, from back to front, and from inside to the outside.二、Points gaining and losing and analysis of points losing of the world women’s professional tennis players1) points gaining types:the turnovers of the opponents, serve scores, sub-bottom line winning, net, sending and receiving score. The scores gaining of the server, mainly through serving and the turnovers of the opponents, fully reflects the importance of the serve, and the bottom-line attacks.2) types of score losing:the initiative-taking of the opponents, bottom-line unforced turnovers, bottom-line forced turnovers, network unforced turnovers and network forced turnovers. Unforced turnovers are the focus of the two parties.3) score losing:the ratio of the backing ball into the net by the serving side is higher than that by the receiving side, and during the bottom-line competition, the difference in the out-of-bound balls is great.三、The developing trend of WTA playersWith the speed ensured, serving is more closely integrated with the rotation and placement. Receiving becomes more proactive and aggressive. More comprehensive requirements of skills are set, and more precise control of the ball is needed. Bottom-line playing becomes the mainstream, and the skills continue to innovatively and comprehensively develop.
