Athletes Attribution will affect the athletes’psychological and follow-up behavior thereby affecting the athlete’s performance. To the level of elite athletes, competitive level is no longer a big gap on the competition, psychological factors to compete to become one of the key factors that decide the outcome instead the strength. Due to the Attribution would be have a significant impact in excellent athletes’psychology, the study of athletes Attribution have great significance to the training of elite athletes. This study suggests that because of therefore and opening up, mainland Chinese society has undergone significant change, and, the elite athletes attribution in different historical background will be different. Using the qualitative research methods up "grounded theory" to study athletes attribution since the reform and opening up, finishing the seven Olympic Games’mainland China elite athletes attribution in1984-2008period of in <China Sport Daily>.First establish the free nodes, then coding the free nodes until the spindle encoder to determine the ultimate node.The study analyzed the report in "the China Sport Daily" during seven Olympic Games concluded that:the number of attribution in the elite athletes of the Chinese mainland is incremented, and the number of specific reasons also increased over time; attribution number of women in elite athletes of the Chinese mainland outnumber men attribution number,attribution number of success outnumber failure number; the elite athletes’attribution of the Chinese mainland were different in seven Olympic Games,overall, the proportion of attribution that was control and internal gradually increased and becoming more rational; the attribution’change of these athletes have relationship with the individual psychology of athletes and the social background of each period; the attribution of these athletes have difference in gender, in general, men’s is more reasonable than women’s.
