In recent years, China socialist market economy system is established progressively and industrial structure adjustment pace is increasing, so the unemployment rate continues to rise. The registered urban unemployment rate from3%in the end of2001to4.1%in2010. Unemployment is a complicated social economic phenomenon that appeared after the industrial revolution and it will increase the risk of economic system transformation. If we can’t deal with the problem improper, the economic growth will fall and social stability will affected. Therefore, solving the employment problem is not only a major economic problem, but also a big political problem. The re-employment training is a key to increase the employment rate, improve the level of training is important to solve the problem of unemployment.Because unemployment problem has been existed for a long time in western capitalist countries, their re-employment training projects are more improved. Although there are remarkable differences with background and implementation in different countries, we can also get some common features and learn lots of valuable experience by analyzing and summarizing the development, practice and successful experiences of re-employment training in western countries. This article aims at finding some lessons of the re-employment training in western developed countries and taking some advice about re-employment training system in China, to analyze and research the development, legislation, project implementation and management system of re-employment training in U.S. and Britain.This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is introduction; indicating the research background, meaning and the present studies of foreign scholars. The second chapter explains the related concepts and the main theoretical bases. The third and fourth parts analyze the re-employment training situation and discuss the characteristics and experience in Britain and American. The final part gives some advice about re-employment training and existing problems in China.
