There are some frustrations in the basketball course of chinese P.E colleges.The aims,curriculum settings,teaching methods,educational materials and the building of teaching bodyof the basketballcourse are changed a lot in the last sixty years.From the studying, this paperfinds the the Undergraduate basketball course construction in chinese P.E college as below:1. The educational materials of the Undergraduate basketball course construction in chineseP.E college has a long history,it is growing both in size and numbers and combining with thedifferent period situations. The different period has the suitable educational materials,and thedifferent educational materials meet the needs of the different period. It provided magnitudeguarantee to train the basketball men.2. The building of teaching body of the basketballcourse in chinese P.E colleges has a goodeffect after the founding of PRC. The Pedagogic Law and the Sports Law provide magnitudeguarantee to the teachers’ development. The age structure of the P.E teachers in the P.Ecolleges are more and more rational.but the male and femal are not balance. The male teacherare more than female teachers.The educational history are becoming much better fromtraining and teaching by correspondence, but this situation is not perfect. And the professionaltitle is illogical, the teachers of the higher educational history and the higher professional titleare much less than the teachers who have single teaching methods and without experience.3. But the basketball teachers are use exercise method in the course firstly, and then they uselanguage method, intuition method, rectification method, and case method. The teaching ofthe basketball course in the undergratuade P.E colleges have much more progressives after thefounding of PRC. And the education thought of qulity education and tenuto physical areincarnated in some P.E colleges’ basketball course.Most of the basketball course of the14single course colleges are provincial excelsior curriculum, the basketball course of the CapitalNormal University’s in2004, and the basketball course of Wuhan Sports University in2010were both became national excelsior curriculum. There is no doubt that they are the leaders ofthe basketball course.The teaching method of the Soviet Union is becoming modean teachingmethod. The students become the main part of the course, the teachers become the leaders ofthe course, the teachers bring the students’ enthusiasm into play and improve teaching effect and teaching efficiency. They use very little modern teaching methods,such as findingmethods, elicitation methods, Cooperative Learning methods, mastery learning methods andso on. Because of the limitide reasons, the modern teaching skills and methods are used verylittle in the course. The technique test and theory test are very simple and mechanized to thestudents. But this test method is useful for the standards and training the students,it meets theneeds of that period.
