Contemporary Chinese college students’moral education still has some problems. For example, education mechanism and some shortcomings, education method ignore moral purposely, etc. This situation serious impact on the moral education effect and against the college students’moral development. One important way, combined with the traditional moral education and the modern moral education, in order to improve present situation of college students’moral education.The profound Chinese traditional culture, which has a long history, has great influence on people’s social life and spirits. As the core of Chinese traditional culture, moral education was mainly established in Ancient China, the body of which was the Confucian ethic ideology. Due to the Unity of Three Religions, its moral value system gradually became relatively mature and accomplished, which includes the following parts:personal ethics, family ethics, national ethics and universe ethics. Moral education is the central content of the traditional virtues, the essence of ancient Chinese moral civilization and the core of Chinese nation spiritsTraditional moral education dose not only improve the college students’structure of knowledge, enhance their comprehensive quality and promote the development and innovation of the higher education in China, but it also plays a great role in the development and cultivation of national spirit. It inherits and develops the Chinese traditional moral culture, which has great value on the students’ideological and political education and has great significance on the improvement of the teachers’ideological and political work.The purpose of this paper is to analyses the content and method of Chinese traditional moral education and to study its resource value for modern ideological and political education. Firstly, Ownership the course of the Evolution of Chinese traditional moral education, to grasp the context of the development of Chinese traditional moral education, awareness and understanding of the content, method and characteristics of Chinese traditional moral education centers; Second, analyzes the overall situation of the college students’ moral education, including the content setting, the teaching force, the advantages and disadvantages of college students’moral education, in addition to other reasons;The third, Reference and inspiration provided by the traditional moral education content and methods to college moral education.
