Research On The Distinctive School-running Of Independent College

Since the21st century, China’s higher education has developed rapidly. The independent colleges as a new type of higher education with new mode have three advantages which are privateness, uniqueness and goodness. It promotes the mass higher education and diversification, which meets the demands of stakeholders in short time with rapid development. But the problem comes out meantime during its development period, so the series policies are put forward to regulate the schooling of independent colleges to guarantee its basic conditions. The independent colleges are required to promote the quality and distinctive development. Some colleges have made a good development and some ones are not. In the new times, running school with distinction and higher quality is a key task. The paper choose the distinctive school-running topic, it is divided into six chapters.Chapter one is the introduction, summarizing the related research results, research meaning and methods. We analyze the similarities and differences of characteristics of school-running and distinctive school-running combing with the existed research, the later focuses on the management and practice, but the former stresses the possession and formation of the characteristic. They belong to one thing with different stages, the later one is the premise of the former one, otherwise the distinction is hard to embody, they closely connect with each other.Chapter two, the special status and the essence and content of distinctive school-running are discussed based one the historical development of independent colleges. The vale of distinctive school-running of independent colleges lies in its ability to meet the requirement of itself and the mass higher education and diversity, to meet the needs of students and employers, to fit the internal and external law of higher education.Chapter three mainly fucuses on the theoretical analysis of distinctive school-running of independent colleges. It basic characteristics are distinction and competitiveness, stability and development, comprehension and and focus, reality and recognition. The principles are the combination of aim and process, subjective and objective, inheritance and innovation and the standard coordination of academy and market, Its theory foundation is based on niche theory in ecology and mass higher education theory in education.Chapter four is the case study of Yangtze University College of Technology and Engineering. The exploration is the following given:put forward the distinctive school-running strategy based on investigation; the aim to cultivate the practical talents on the schooling-running realities; the students’ social practice into society by cooperation of college and enterprise; the innovation of teaching process to stress learning through process, focus the students and running school honestly. And then we summarize the experience of its school-running.Chapter five and chapter analyze the problems and causes of distinctive school-running of independent colleges respectively, and put up the basic countermeasures on the distinctive school-running of independent colleges from inside and outside of college.
