Research On The Employment Problems And Countermeasures Of College Students In Independent Colleges

The independent college is a newly emerging thing arising under the background of reform of higher education.It has very distinctive features,and its independent education capital,flexible curriculum setting,and practice-oriented personnel training have cultivated applied professionals who adapt to social development and meet the demand for talents.The independent college fills the vacancy of talents with both theoretical theories and practical skills in the job market,and is the effective outcome of China's higher education innovation.In recent years,college students face an increasingly serious employment situation.Aside from the growing number of graduates year by year,the remaining unemployed population throughout the past years makes the employment situation even worse.The graduates of independent colleges,as a new employment group,are confronted with an unoptimistic or even a severer employment situation.Since independent colleges have a short history,low social recognition,as well as small market influence,the employment situation for independent colleges is not optimistic,and the employment problem needs to be solved urgently.Under the background of university students' employment problem,this paper takes independent colleges as the research object and conducts concrete analysis and research on the case of Southeast University Chengxian College.Through in-depth investigation and analysis of the employment quality of Southeast University Chengxian College in recent three years,the author aims to identify the independent college students' employment problem,and summarize the similarities from individual issues.Then the author analyzes the reasons of the employment problem from factors of students,employers,independent colleges,and the government,to find the methods and ways to solve the problem fundamentally.Finally the following suggestions are put forward.The independent college students should have an accurate positioning,change the concepts of employment,and improve their employment competitiveness;employers should recruit talents according to the position requirements,transform their employment views,and create a fair environment for talent competition;independent colleges should adjust the educational ideas and positioning,and create favorable employment conditions for the students;the government should deepen the reform of higher education,to provide a benign employment environment for independent college graduates.With the joint efforts,the employment problem of independent colleges will be effectively improved.and independent colleges will usher in one more healthy and steady development.
