| National traditional physical education as an emerging subjectwhich the basic theory is relatively weak, and results of that arerelatively fewer than other secondary subjects. The thesis of Masterdegree occupies a very important place in the studies of Nationaltraditional physical education. The end results, which can reflectcurrent situation and problems of cultivating Master degree candidates,can provide some reference for cultivating Master degree candidatesbetter in the future. According to analysis of contents, researchmethods, data processing, quotation and rules of367thesis from2006to2010, we came to the following conclusions and recommendations:Conclusion:1. There are44universities which are eligible for giving Masterdegree of National physical education in the whole nation, whichamount to69.84%being mainly based on the postgraduate educationunits and comprehensive Universities.2. The Masters thesis advisors are mainly based on the Professoramounting to73.02%,then are associate professor amounting to26.03%,which is better to help graduates promote3. The content is mainly based on “Wushu” research while basictheory is fewer.4. About the research methods, average number of papers is4.4times, which is corresponding to the masters degree thesis writingrequirements. That instructions national traditional physical educationpostgraduates can apply for different methods reasonably.5. However, the data processing and application have remainedon simple analysis and description. We should need in-depth analysisand application6. About the citations of using, references to periodical literature is mainly used. And foreign language periodicals and callout format ofcitation of electronic documents is irregular.7. In terms of367pages of masters degree thesis of nationaltraditional physical education, of which181masters thesis are cited483times, each of which is referenced in the masters thesis on about2.67times. Which indicates the use frequency of masters is high.Suggestion:1. Degree-granting units should clearly focus on their own talents,unique, clear requirements as well as get rid of martial arts teachingmode to widen teaching content, with the exception of setting outbasic theory curriculum according to the basic method, should also beappropriate to explore the folk sports courses, to make postgraduatesunderstand other national traditional sports.2. National traditional physical education graduate students shouldcorrectly understand the connotation of national traditional sports,define the goal itself, not only to study on their own traditional items ofinterest, should also focus on other projects in national traditional sports,many disappearing of traditional national sports in particular, should beconcerned about, to attract the attention of researchers, who shouldhave the responsibility of research.3. In terms of writing, graduate students should be broader inthinking and vision, break through the study of content on limitations.we should grasp the contents on a macroscopic point and combinetheir capabilities to select what have certain research value andsustainability of scientific research thesis for master degree studies.4. As foe the specific research methods, we should standardizeresearch methods types and cannot be free to create methods inresearch, while requiring an interdisciplinary approach depending onthe actual reference.5. On the processing of data, we should pay attention to the depth of data mining, rational use of statistical methods, analysis of theinternal relations of things, from a quantitative point of view to analyzethe research thing. In terms of the citations, we should not only payattention to references to periodical literature, but also focus on booksand other documents.
