The Ib Mathematics Course Introduction And Enlightenment

The current mathematics curriculum reform in China is at a critical period, to change the status of single learning content and the means of study is the key to the curriculum reform in China.Reference to purposes and methods of the IB mathematics curriculum, the mathematics curriculum could inspire the students to study hard and enhance the enthusiasm of study. So that to help the overall development of students is a significant development direction of China’s curriculum reform. The course encourages students’ multicultural understanding and acceptance, lays stress on developing international awareness and responsible civic awareness of students. All that can explain IB mathematics curriculum is a curriculum model full of research value, to learn from the advanced courses in line with the direction of economic and cultural development of china, and it lays the foundation for our international talents educating.This thesis contains five chapters.Chapter1:A general overview of the IB project, under the general overview we can gradually understand the contents of subsequent chapters.Chapter2:This part introduces IB mathematics curriculum in-depth making us analyzing the discipline of mathematics based on the entire curriculum system.Chapter3:This chapter gives a brief comparison of mathematics curriculum in china and IB mathematics curriculum, which make us realizing the gap between our curriculum and international curriculum and revealing the direction of the curriculum reformChapter4:This part analyzes the revelation of the IB mathematics curriculum to the mathematics curriculum reform in China. This chapter gives us a deep understanding of the characteristics of the IB mathematics curriculum and provides a reference for China’s curriculum reform.Chapter5:Through the first four chapters’exposition and research, this chapter draws conclusions and provides a reference for our future research.IB mathematics curriculum reflects the international curriculum ideas:It focus on training attitude and spirit of international understanding of the students:It focus on developing the critical thinking ability of students; It focus on training lifelong learning concept of students. We can learn from IB mathematics curriculum evaluation system paying attention to the internal evaluation, and it efforts to build a multivariate mathematical evaluation system.
