| Creativity and entrepreneurship has been the theme of the today’s society. As we know, universities are not just the places where graduates do researches and gain knowledge, they are places characterized with pursuing truth, virtue and aesthetics and bearing social responsibilities where graduates are taught all above. Therefore, universities shoulder social responsibilities of starting entrepreneurship education to cultivate graduates’ spirit of entrepreneurship and develop their ability of entrepreneurship. That is to say, we need pay attention to the cultivation of graduates’ ability of entrepreneurship now more than ever. Entrepreneurship education started in universities and colleges is a necessity to meet the demand of cultivating qualified personnel proposed by the development of economy and society, at the same time, it is a trend of universities and colleges reformation. Entrepreneurship education is very practical. The development of entrepreneurship education in universities and colleges needs great support from social organizations. In America, Kauffman Foundation has made a tremendous contribution to encouraging universities and colleges to innovate the mode of entrepreneurship education and build platform and mechanisms for communication among entrepreneurship education researchers. In the meantime, it has been of vital and meaningful reference for our Entrepreneurship education in universities and colleges.This paper aims to do researches on the contents and representative cases of Kauffman Campus Initiative implementation through applying SWOT theory analysis. At the same time, this paper puts forward experience and enlightenments from the Kauffman Campus Initiative through combining the development of Entrepreneurship education at home. The basic framework is as follows:The prologue gives a brief introduction of the background and significance of the research, the research contents and methods. It mainly makes a clarification about the domestic and international existing research contents, at the same time defines the conceptions that the paper has involved. The second part introduces the background and idea of the Kauffrnan Campus Initiative. The third part analyzes the contents and implementation of the Kauffrnan Campus Initiative, including introducing the content of entrepreneurship to curriculum, providing more opportunities for students to take part in entrepreneurship activities, encouraging and promoting teachers as well as communities to join in entrepreneurship education and the like. The fourth part gives a detailed introduction of representative cases of the Kauffman Campus Initiative. The fifth part preliminarily analyzes the Kauffman Campus Initiative through applying the conception and basic framework of SWOT theory analysis. The sixth part puts forward experience and enlightenments from the Kauffman Campus Initiative through combining the development of entrepreneurship education at home. |
