Accompanied by the development of Science and Technology, the technologies of Multimedia and Communication both have got considerable progress, and various modern equipments have been widely used in the field of education. Thus, how to take good use of Science and Technology, especially the technologies of Computer and Multimedia, in order to take use of various modern equipments for Education and Instruction, has become the focus of attention in the field of education.Meanwhile, with the appearance of patched wide screen in2010Shanghai World Expo, the display with super wide screen, high brightness and more colors has been recognized strongly and praised highly, so Patched Wide-Screen Display System began to be used up rapidly in various fields, and so the Display System of Teaching Materials Based on Patched Wide Screen is just born in this environment.The topic will build a display system of teaching materials with patched wide screen, to realize that we can display the teaching materials on the patched wide screen simply and flexibly, in order to solve the problems in traditional Computer Assisted Instruction, such as "the big screen not big","the kinds of information little and single", and so on, eventually to provide better quality hardware foundation for Computer Assisted Instruction.The main work of this paper has three aspects following:(1) To explore the relative foundational theories about CAI via Large Projected Screen, and to discuss the characteristics and the main instruction modes, in order to provide theoretical basis for design and development, and to provide theoretical guidance for the design and development of each functional module in the system.(2) To research the relative principles and key technologies for Patched Wide-Screen Display System, such as the principles of patching wide screen, Communication Technology via RS-232serial port, and so on, in order to make the scheme for patching wide screen for instruction to build the framework for the system.(3)To realize the Display System of Teaching Materials Based on Patched Wide Screen. According to the framework of this system, to store, transform and display the multimedia resources, and preset various modes of displaying. At the same time, to control and harmonize each device to work harmoniously and orderly by Communication Technology via RS-232serial port, consequently, we can display variety of resources comprehensively on the patched wide screen.
