| Fashion reading is an opposite concept to classic reading. Fashion books attract contemporary middle-school students with their user-friendly content, relaxing and leisurely style, up-to-date and daily life characteristics. While, at the same time, the teacher sees them as "monsters", they often sigh for the students’lack of interest in reading the classics. But fashion reading has become a favorite of middle-school students, it’s obviously no use only sighing and criticizing about it. Considering this objective phenomenon, this article is aimed to find a scientific and reasonable way out for middle-school students’fashion reading.The phenomenon of students’like for fashion reading has certain background and practical attribution. There are three factors that contribute to the appearance of this phenomenon, that is,"the flowering of popular culture and the change of aesthetic ideas, youth subculture and the characteristics of teenagers’development in both body and mind, and the disadvantages of the present education system.Fashion reading and the middle school language education are not incompatible; they are closely related to each other. Bringing fashion reading into the middle school Chinese language education system has its necessity and possibility. After an overview of fashion reading, the second part explains the necessity from the following three aspects:"the psychological roots of fashion reading, crisis and shortcomings in fashion reading and the value and meaning of the students’fashion reading. Then it explains the possibilities from "the historical tradition and the basis in reality of bringing fashion reading into the middle school language education system", which provides the basis for bringing the fashion reading into the middle school Chinese language education system.Fashion reading can be used as the content of middle school students’ extra-curricular reading. But if students only indulge in fashion reading, it will cause malnutrition because of "dietary bias". We can look for linking points between fashion reading and classical reading and set up the bridge between "fashion" and "the classic" to stimulate the students’interest in reading the classics.Through the four chapters, this thesis provides a scientific and reasonable way out for middle-school students’fashion reading-bringing fashion reading into middle school language education system. Through the correct guidance of the teacher, its value will be made full use of and its negative effects will be dispelled to the lowest extent. And according to the connection between fashion reading and classical reading, using the method of "fashion traction" to stimulate the students’interest in reading classics, which will make the middle-school students not forget classics while they are appreciating the fashion. This will make reading an important way to cultivate students’ Chinese accomplishment and humanistic quality. |
