In this paper, first through the study of teacher education in China and the UnitedStates History, Analysis of differences in the two teacher education context in whichtraditional cultural values. Conducted a comparison of the three aspects of teachereducation programs in China and the United States, respectively, for the teachereducation curriculum goals, curriculum, course three aspects of the comparison, tofind out the differences in teacher education programs in China and the United States,found that China’s teacher education lack of theoretical foundation curriculumobjectives, the curriculum is unreasonable, discipline curriculum too narrow too small,the need to strengthen teacher education programs and practical courses of teachereducation to professional development of Teachers direction. Too single coursecontent, curriculum and teacher education programs of the content of publicinfrastructure fixed boring, National identical, it should increase the flexibility andbroad. Have a broad general education courses in the United States, help to improvefuture teachers of the humanities and to construct a reasonable knowledge structure.The discipline courses with a comprehensive integration of teacher educationprograms. Teacher education programs focus on practice, training teachers and broadeducational vision and specific teaching ability.Finally, by comparison with teacher education programs in the United States,Reflections on three aspects of teacher education courses. In the course objectives, Ibelieve that the need to adjust the value orientation of curriculum objectives, andbased on theory, to solve the contradiction between "Normal" and "academic". In thecurriculum, should be increased to increase the proportion of teacher educationprograms, while increasing the proportion of practical courses. Course content shouldincrease the flexibility of course content, and try to curriculum integration. And cancelthe Normal Colleges and Universities Teachers disciplines, improve the status androle of colleges of education point of view. The program envisages the students ofprofessional schools of various disciplines to obtain qualifications for teachers toattend colleges of education theory and practice courses, the Institute of Educationtruly become a place to train teachers and education theory of academic research.
