Abstract/Summary:
Self-regulated learning is a learning way that the learners who have the learning motivation, use the strategies to regulate and control the process of studying, and summarize, analyze, evaluate and self-attribute the learning outcomes. Self-regulated learning is a way to improve the education quality, and is also the basis of the lifelong learning for an individual.On the basis of relevant researches, domestic and overseas, this study selected7students in Grade6of Chongqing’s normal urban school as the cases. The research took documents research, indepth interviews, daily communications and the analyzing of students’ works to grasp the present situation and the existing problems of students’ self-regulated learning, and attempted to analyze the outcomes from the viewpoint of culture.In the paper, the author firstly illustrated something about the research. It contained the proposing of the problem about self-regulated learning, the reviewing of related researches at home and abroad, the defining of key conceptions, the research purpose, significance and method, and so on. Secondly, the author selected and analyzed the cases’situation of self-regulated learning. Through this study, the author found the features of self-regulated learning of primary school seniors as follows:As for independent learning motivation, the students had a basic understanding of the learning purpose, took interests in learning, and had the active consciousness to finish their task. As for using the learning strategies, the students could better use strategies to preview, review, solve problem and make a study plan. As for handling the learning outcomes, the students could take it properly, and analyzed the influence factors of their academic records. As for regulating and controlling the learning process, the students generally liked quiet environment, and almost every students had their role models in class. After introducing the cultural background and investigating the situation of the students’ self-regulated learning, the paper analyzed the current situation of the students’ self-regulated learning from four aspects of culture. They were belief, value, behavior and system. Then, the writer provided some advice to promote the capacity of students’self-regulated learning from the point of culture. First, the teacher should build some cultural atmosphere, which is helpful for the students’self-regulated learning. Second, the parents should provide with family culture environment. Third, students in peer groups should try their best to build community culture for self-regulated learning. At last, the author rethought the research, and put forward the orientation in the continual studying.
