"problem Based Learning" In The Application Of Physics Teaching Research

At present, our country’s basic education still exist some bad phenomenon, such as relying too much on teaching materials and teaching reference books, lack of communication and exchange with students. How to change this situation has been discussed and studied by scholars. The author thinks that the Problem-based Learning can be introduced into the middle school physics teaching, which has became most popular in abroad "as a new teaching mode. But if it adapt to our middle school physics teaching environment very well, how teachers take some teaching designs based on this teaching mode, and what the influence of this teaching mode will made for student’s physical learning if it implement, those are all the problems should be studied by us. The purpose of this study is to explore the Problem-based Learning mode in middle school physics educational, establish the evaluation system for this mode in physical teaching, and explore the effect of this mode in physical learning.This study take the theoretical method, the experimental research and study involving together, and began at the September2010. Through the study, the results were as follows:(1)Through the study the basis theory of the Problem-based Learning in-depth, we could draw the following conclusions:Firstly, the Problem-based Learning teaching mode has the maturely theory support, including the Constructivism theory, the Discovery learning theory and the Situated Cognition theory;Secondly, the Problem-based Learning emphasizes the importance of learning process, and pay more attention to cultivate the students’individual ability, those are highly suitable to the education curriculum reform;(2)Explored the Problem-based Learning mode in high school physics teaching. The author made some appropriate adjustments in the problem design, such as increasing the students’design experiments method, making it more adapted to the current high school physics teaching.(3) Set up the Problem-based Learning evaluation system. The author designed the system to test students’ learning level concluding the basic learning and the experimental study, and presented the teaching practice case for readers to reference.(4) According to analysis the effect of teaching practice in short-term, the author draw this conclusion: Comparing with the class using the traditional teaching mode, putting the Problem-based Learning into daily physical teaching was not only improving the knowledge master level obviously, but also enhancing the students’ physics study emotion, increasing their scientific research ability and developing their cooperation consciousness.(5)During the teaching practice, the author found that the Problem-based Learning exists deficiencies:The first one is that it is only applicable to the procedural knowledge teaching; The second one is this teaching method has few in effect on enhancing those foundation weak students, even has some negative influence; The third one is this method has few effect on enhancing students’mathematical operation ability than the traditional teaching method. Therefore, in the specific application process, the teacher should know the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional teaching method and the Problem-based Learning method, to varying the teaching methods and teaching ideas.According to the bad situation caused by many factors during teaching practice process, the author put forward the following two suggestions:(1) The advice for teachers:Firstly, the teacher should make corresponding change in characters based on the current education direction, from the master of the classroom to the leader of students’ learning.Secondly, the departments concerned should strengthen the teaching skill and teaching literacy training, and trained the teachers’classroom management skills, which will make the Problem-based Learning method work more effectively.(2) The advice for society:Firstly, the distribution of education resources go against the Problem-based Learning method development. So the whole society make multiple channels together to solve the hardware construction of the school education and lack of money problems, not just relying on state education spending.Secondly, the school shall hold the means such as parents school to increase the communication and understanding between parents, teachers and society. At the same time, we can use the force of public opinion to provide a relaxed learning and teaching environment for teachers and students, give a good atmosphere for the Problem-based Learning development.Thirdly, the school shall give teachers who use the Problem-based Learning mode development appropriate material rewards for the time and energy they use more than others, for that can improve their enthusiasm.
