For Nearly 30 Years Of Martial Arts Development Present Situation And Countermeasure Research

Martial arts, the precious treasure of china, are a native form of sports created and developed in the process of working and production by our Chinese people and are a shining superstar in our national sports. Chinese marital arts have a splendidly long history, posessing the inseparable relationship with china’s5,000-year long history. With the development of times, marial arts’functions of self-protection, the building-up of the body, the civilization of the body, and the civilization of the soul have been represented more vividly. With the rising our nation’s status in the world, marial arts gradually have begun to embrace the world. Influenced by the western sports thought, Chinese martial arts have developed along the direction of competitive martial arts and traditional martial arts. In the past30years, there has been a stark comparison between the thriftiness of competitive marital arts and the loneliness of traditional martial arts. To study and analyze the development of martial arts during this period is of great practical and theoretical significance to the inheritance and further development of martial arts.This thesis studied the development situation of martial arts both at home and abroad, with the mixed methods of literature review, logical analysis and expert interviews. In the past30years, martial arts have gradually developed into two catogeries:competitive marital arts and traditional martial arts. This thesis studied and summarized the development situation of marital arts, finding the problems existed, and coming up with solutions directed at those problems.The study result has revealed that the development situation of marital arts both at home and abroad is not so optimistic. Besides, the development situation is not stable: competitive martial arts is developing rapidly while tradional martial arts is outshined. Martial arts have been gradually westernized, school marital arts is a living dead and public public arts still needs more support and guidance. The coming of media age and post-olympic age has made the spread of martial arts fall behind the development of age, which urgently needs the perfection of spreading system and the broadening of spreading approaches.With the enclosure of Beijing Olympic Games, the development of marital arts have embraced the coming of post-olympic age. Martial arts failed to be a game of Olympic Games, but rather appeared as a performing game. Marital arts need to learn from the lessons in the future and competitive martial arts and traditional martial arts need to develop evenly. The spreading of martial arts is also the spreading of culture, as a result,the development of martial arts should be rooted in the.long and splendid chinese culture. School education is the foundation of the development of martial arts while public martial arts is the murturing place for the perfection and enrichment of martial arts. Besides, martial arts should also perfect its spreading system. The aim of this thesis is to provide theoretical basis for the future development of martial arts so that references can be given for the further development of marital arts and to contribute to the development of national spirits and culture.
