To basic on the 《World History》 textbook published by Prentice Hall USAeducational publishing company in2007,I will descript and then evaluate the wholerelated to the content of Chinese history.On the one hand,I want to draw lessonsfrom USA success experience,on the other hand,I hope this article provided theoriginal translation of materials for the later researchers, to provide material forfurther study. The article is divided into three parts:The first part is to introduce the background of American history textbooksrespectively.Respectively, from the evolution of American history curriculum is set,the American history textbook selection system and the preparation of theversion of 《world history》 textbook system described. in detail.The second part,I want to descript and then evaluate the three phases ofChinese history: the ancient history of China, China’s modern history, modernChinese history.Write characteristics of the third part of the overall U.S.《World History》textbook. Fist of all, reflect the will of the state,secondly textbook writingcompetency-based training, and finally the textbook writing discusses the greatimportance to absorb the historical research achievements.
