Extracurricular sports activities are an important part of school physical culture is to cultivate students’ interest in sports, sports consciousness, sports attitude, develop good sports habits and to form the correct outlook on life, the outlook, values, etc, it’s an important means in a certain extent in level affecting the health level of students. Middle school students are in basic obligation education stage physical and mental critical period of development, the subject of school as they, have more and more concern has been in high school, therefore, extra-curricular activities, conducting various forms of, rich in content and have fitness, entertaining extracurricular sports activities are particularly important.Based on both of weifang and yangzhou city high school each8ex-curricular sports activities as the research object, by using the methods of documentation and questionnaire, interview survey method, mathematical statistics method, two cities of weifang, yangzhou middle school extracurricular sports activities in-depth status quo investigation and analysis, is to understand the current weifang and yangzhou two urban middle school in extracurricular sports activities in the present situation, the existence question and the solving measures, etc. The results show that the weifang high school, the launch of the extracurricular sports activities by the economic development level, teachers, students’ sports participation, sports curriculum setting of various factors work together. Regardless of weifang or yangzhou, governments to increase school extracurricular sports activities of investment, constantly funds optimizing colleges extracurricular physical environment, perfect the school sports hardware facilities.2. The school shall reforming extracurricular sports activities in the content and organizational form, add fashionable, students, and at the same time, popular project reform school extracurricular sports activities in the way, to improve the students’ participation, meet the needs of their students’ different.3. The school will take student’s physical, psychological development regularity and based on students’ interests as the starting point, both men and women naturally other differences, set up a rich content, method flexible, encourage students innovative extracurricular sports live model and evaluation standard, the student evaluation into students’ self education, self-improvement.4.
