Nowadays, orienteerting aredeveloping at an even faster pace. Most people take part in this activity not only forentertainment, but also for the regularization and systematization of this event, extending itfrom the field of leisure sport to the competitive sport, which contributes tremendously to thedevelopment of China’s sports culture. orienteerting has its unique value, especially when itcomes to the level of competitive sport, which emphasizes people’s Athletics Level. On theone hand, it goes beyond of the level of blueprint reading, laying more emphasis on Goodphysical fitness, a solid theoretical basis, and outstanding practical ability. On the other hand,it pays more attention to the professionals’ Diathesis Requirements, stating that, a goodorienteer should not only obtain good moral sentiments, strong volitional qualities, activethinking abilities, etc, but also an innovative, upand-coming and cautious mindset. This canfacilitate to the establishment of a good sportsmanship and in turn promotes the developmentof China’s competitive sport level and spiritual civilization. The present study is based onvarious research methods such as, documentary analysis, expert interviews, investigation, datastatistics, comparative analysis, and so on. By focusing specifically on the physical agility,technical ability, strategy and psychology of the Chinese orienteers in Successive games, thisstudy sets out to demonstrate the experience and lessons as well as the existing problems andtheir restraining factors that we can observe and put forward some specific counter plans andsuggestions. Through this research, we obtain a good understanding of the disparity incompetitive level between the Chinese and the foreign orienteers, contributing to the overalldevelopment of the orienteerting and providing relevant scientific research projects withreferences and inspirations. Moreover, it also brings benefits to the ordinary orienteertingfans.
