| The Chinese traditional virtue, which has a long history, profound and long standing,is constantly heritage and development with the historical progress. In the new period,along with the economic globalization and the rapid development of science andtechnology, and the deepening of the reform of domestic economic system and the socialtransformation, the problem of how the traditional virtues play a role in a new environment,and how the ideological and political education workers combine it with the request of thenew era, make it play an actively role, carry forward the fine culture of the Chinese nationand foster the qualified successors for socialist construction, has been an urgent task. At thesame time, the national development and prosperity, the national independence andrevitalization, and the people’s dignity and happiness cannot realize without the powerfuland advanced culture. Therefore, how to endow the traditional culture with era content andtransform it into the socialist advanced culture, and inculcate it into the college students’minds to eliminate the misunderstanding to the traditional moral of broad youth studentand makes it to guide the college students’ practice, has been the primitive task of theideological and political education workers.This essay is discussing the problem of the traditional virtue education of collegestudents in the new period, and it can be divided into six parts. Through the descriptionsanalysis of the missing of the traditional virtue education of the college students in the newperiod, this article discuss the traditional moral education on college students in the newperiod from a all-round and multidimensional view, and strives to make the traditionalvirtue plays a more important role in the new era of economic transformation and socialtransformation in China.Based on the detailed start about the basic concept of traditional virtue, traditionalvirtue education and college students’ traditional virtue education, the second and third partdescribe the phenomenon of missing of the college students’ traditional virtue education,and analysis the cause of these phenomena from the view of college students themselves,the college and the society.The fourth part emphatically proves the status and role in the college education in the new era which played by the traditional virtue from the four prospects, such as thesurvival and development of the Chinese nation, the current society and the developmentof the times, the need of constructing the harmonious society, and the foster of collegestudents’ good moral character, and elaborates the necessity of enhancing the collegestudents traditional virtue.As the key point, the fifth part is mainly analysis the countermeasure for enhancingthe college students’ traditional virtue education in the new era. In the college students’traditional virtue education, On the one hand, we should carry forward the national spirit,inherit Chinese traditional cultures; on the other hand, we should combine with the newage demand and develop the harmonious virtue. We should fiercely hold the basicrequirements of college students’ traditional virtue education and recognize inner essenceof college students’ traditional virtue education, realize the sustainable development oftraditional virtue education of the College students, explicit the purpose of college students’traditional virtue education, and play the role of college students’ traditional virtueeducation. To develop the university students’ traditional virtue education in new era, weshould do three as a whole: the first is Co-ordination the traditional virtue theory educationcollege students with practical education; secondly, Co-ordination the traditional virtueeducation target and college students’ method; thirdly, Co-ordination the Internalizationwith the externalization. Only by this, we can enhance the effect of students’ all-roundtraditional virtue education. In addition, incorporating the connotation and denotation, weshould condense the college students’ traditional virtue education together. We should urgethe reform of college traditional virtue education to improve the traditional virtueeducation quality, and realize the leap forward of traditional virtue education.The sixth part is the summary of the essay. In the new era, the college students’traditional virtue education takes a heavy burden and embarks on a long road. And weshould fiercely adhere to the base position in the moral education played by the collegestudents’ traditional virtue education, and combine it with the ideological and moraleducation of college students.
