Based on long-term field research,this paper presents the status of traditional virtue education through case studies,using interview,observation and questionnaire survey methods,in order to bring some thoughts to traditional virtue education in urban primary schools.The study finds that urban primary schools attach great importance to traditional virtue education.Schools carry out traditional virtue education through abundant moral education activities;Chinese classes integrate with traditional virtue education;and students have a better understanding of traditional virtue.However,there are some problems,such as narrow education,partial activities still in the form,and insufficient attention to moral education.The main reason is that school administrators pay more attention to examination results than activities;under the pressure of examination results and entrance,moral education is often occupied by Chinese classes because it is not an examination subject;the burden of teachers is heavy,and there is not enough time and energy to do a good job in education and teaching.To improve the present situation of traditional virtue education in urban primary schools,we should start with grasping the goal of educating people in the new era,changing the concept of education evaluation,organic integration of socialist core values and traditional virtue education,full integration of classroom and traditional virtue education,expanding the channels of educating people and reducing the burden of teachers. |
