In China, the benefits of Mathematical history on education has long been recognized. However on the one hand, how to effectively incorporate mathematical history into the education of mathematics is still a hot topic for educators. On the other hand, mathematics, as a cultural system, is the key to the current curriculum reform. Nowadays more and more scholars and front-line teachers are paying serious attention on integrating MH into the Middle-school education. It is well known that mathematical history, as a part of the culture of math, has been an indispensable part of middle-school math education. To better integrate it into the middle-school textbooks and the classroom teaching, it is necessary to analyze the inquiry teaching method.As an important aspect of learning, textbooks need to be designed to deliver math culture to the readers. In this paper, we apply the survey and literature study to analyze the six textbooks published by People’s Education Press in a mathematical-history of view. Our study is based on the curriculum rationale of modern education. We invest the cognitive level of functions of math and that of mathematical history. Also we do surveys on the utilization and layout of the historical material. Moreover we analyze the status of mathematical education while offer some improvement suggestions. In particular, we raise our point about the methods and contains to integrate mathematical history in the middle school textbooks.According to our data, we come up with the following suggestions for instructors:1. improve the instructors’ literacy of mathematical history.2. meet the requirement of mathematical history education.3. open up new paths to enhance the students’learning of mathematical history.4. Enhance Infiltrative teaching in accordance with the middle school math curriculum.We summarize the principles of integrating mathematical history into the education of mathematics:1. scientific principle,2. subjective principle,3. practicality principle,4. integration principle,5. principle of interest,6. Diversified principle. Meanwhile we systematically explain how to integrate mathematical history effectively into middle school math education, which are1. allusion,2. comparison,3. history tracking,4. proclaiming. In this paper we list examples of the method to introduce mathematical history and materials related to middle school math which includes:definitions, theorems and problems related to mathematical history, mathematicians and masterpieces related to middle school math, etc.At the mean time, we offer some suggests to the instructors:1. The instructors should improve the study and research of mathematical history,2. the instructors should enhance the long-term integration of mathematical history in the education,3. the instructors should emphasize on the analysis of different methods of the integration. In the end of the paper, we invoke the analytic hierarchy process on the integration of mathematical history into middle school math education and come up with the process, form and paths of the realization.
