In the early20th century, the neo-museology initiates that the museum should shift its focus on oject to the concern for people, so that more people could benefit from art and culture. As the new century coming, museum education is becoming a critical factor for the existence of a museum. Museums reconsider their resources and focus on orienting the resources towards children, school students and teachers. This essay focuses on the researching on the relation between museum education and Curriculum Standards of Primary and High School Education, discussing the conjunction of museum education and school curriculum from the view of Curriculum Standards, working as laid-down rules. Museum education is still a young academic domain. This essay mainly takes the Unites States as a sample, since museum has been emphasized as a field of education in the country just since the20th century, nevertheless it has won a great development in the past decades.This essay first covers the present development of museum education, discussing the essence of museum education and its importance to the youth.
