Higher correspondence education of adults is a type of continuing education that was started much earlier and is becoming full fledged. Generally, correspondence education is called the first generation of distance education, Tele-education is known as the second generation of distance education while network education is often referred to as the third generation of education. The development of lifelong education and learning-oriented society has brought about new opportunity for correspondence education. But with the advent and unfolding of modern means of communication and information technology, Tele-education and network education has made a spurt of progress while correspondence education is on the wane. As a consequence, correspondence education institutions has begun to learn from the advantages of Tele-education and network education so as to make up its deficiencies and innovate the teaching organization format of correspondence education. This paper has surveyed G correspondence school, which has already tried to take advantage of on-line education to promote the development of correspondence education. It has conducted the tutorial answer mechanism in the teaching organizational mode of correspondence education via the Internet and has applied various communication methods, such as mobile phone, to serve practical teaching. This study is to propose appropriate countermeasures through investigating a correspondence education institution by way of questionnaire investigation and interview on the students’learning effects and defects within the teaching organizational framework such as face-to-face teaching, self-study and on-line tutorial.Chapter1is the abstract, which illustrates research background, literature review, relevant concept definition, research objective and methods.Chapter2mainly expounds the history and theoretical base of the development of higher correspondence education of adults and lays certain theory foundation for case study.Chapter3is the results and analysis of the investigation of specific case. Specifically, it started with an introduction of the basic conditions of the correspondence education institution, and then conducted a questionnaire survey among the correspondence education students from six dimensions while getting to known the students’learning condition under the teaching organizational framework of correspondence education through interview. Chapter4makes an attribution analysis with respect to the existing learning problems of the correspondence education students in terms of mental disorder, environmental obstacle, information barrier and constraints from the educational institutions.Chapter5is to propose appropriate countermeasures from four aspects, viz., students themselves, correspondence education institutions, host institutions and educational administrative departments.
