High school ideological and political course is our country main moral educationapproach, while the high school ideological and political teaching effect directly affectspeople’s ideological and moral status in our country. The high school political lessonteaching is a systematic project. We need much effort if we want to enhance theeffectiveness of ideological and political course in high school. The paper adoptsquestionnaire survey on the Suzhou S middle school’s students from grade one to gradethree for a sample survey, and then the writer analyzed the statistic data collected. Thispaper is divided into three sections. The first part is to elaborate the present situation ofideological and political teaching in senior high school and the necessity. Second, Isummarized five problems of ideological and politic teaching in senior high schools. thefirst problem is that there is an apparent difference between teaching effect and teachinggoal; the second problem is the contents can’t arouse the students interest; the thirdproblem is the teaching model still highly stress the theoretical teaching but ignorepractice teaching; fourth the problem is still a single teaching method; the last problemis the teaching evaluation only depends on the scores. The second part is mainly ananalysis of the causes of these problems, the first reason is the wrong teaching idea; thesecond is due to the ignorance of high school students’ psychological condition; finally,we still need to pay more attention to the teachers’ quality.The last part is to putforward the corresponding countermeasures, the first measure is to adhere to thecombination of theory and practice of the teaching principles; the second, we shouldstimulate the students interests, emotion and need to explore the effective measures toimprove the ideological and political course’s effect; finally, we should draw lessonsfrom foreign moral education experience.
