Over the past decade, our higher vocational education in a short period of time has seen amazing, gratifying results, but also faces a series of macro and micro challenges. Higher vocational education faced numerous challenges, which, by name, are on theoretical and practical levels; or on the conceptual and field-work levels; or on political and management levels, or on education and psychological levels; or on level of both professional and employment needs, or on level of general education, and core professional competence training; or on the scientific literacy level, or humanistic spirit level. Although these dimensions are presented differently, they are not but around the calls for "people-orientation" of the time.Whether it is to build lifelong vocational education system, or to establish a talent development strategy objective, or to train highly skilled personnel, are inseparable from human development, a concrete manifestation of the concept of education to human development, are "people-oriented". The essence of our party pushed for the scientific development concept, which is also indispensable and easily overlooked humanistic spirit in the process of development of vocational colleges. The thesis is focused on the perspective of the scientific concept of development to analyze the significance of humanities education, and its status quo, the plight of the misunderstanding, as well as the lack of humanities curriculum and the strategy to resolve the problem.
